Waist Training in Warmer Weather

Waist Training in Warmer Weather

As the weather warms up, it's tempting to leave our waist trainers out of daily walks and workouts. But the summer months don’t have to stop you from achieving your waist training goals. With a few tweaks to your routine, you will be able to continue to feel snatched and supported all summer long.

Here's some tips to maximise your waist trainers during summer:

1. Time Your Workouts Right

Beat the heat by exercising during the cooler parts of the day such as early mornings or evenings. You will stay more comfortable as the heat is less, and as a bonus, starting or ending your day with a workout can be an awesome mood booster. Even better, if you are using an at home workout app - get in some A/C or in front of a fan during your workouts.

2. Sweat Indoors To Keep Your Cool

When it is just too hot to be outdoors, turn your chores into a workout! I don't know about you - but I am religious about wearing a waist trainer or sweat belt when doing my house cleaning. Not only does it protect my back flare ups (all the bending over, repetitive motions from vacuuming, sweeping and mopping) but it gets my heart rate up and I feel a nice burn around my waist and belly area. Cleaning never felt so productive!

3. Stay Hydrated

Waist trainers increase your heart rate, promote thermogenesis and increase sweating, which can dehydrate you faster in the warmer months. Always keep water on hand and up your hydration game when it’s hot to keep your body balanced and energised.

4. Wash Your Waist Trainer Daily

Sweat is a natural detoxification process, so reusing an unwashed waist trainer, even when dry the next day, can lead to heat rash or breakouts. Make it a habit to wash your waist trainer after each use. For ultimate convenience, consider rotating between belts with our waist trainer packs (they’re a lifesaver during wash days)!

5. Always Prioritise Comfort and Listen to Your Body

Last but not least and as ALWAYS with waist training; listen to your body. Waist training should never cause discomfort, even in the heat. If you’re feeling too hot or stressed, take a break. High stress levels can increase cortisol, which might lead to bloating—exactly what we’re trying to avoid!

Summer Goals, Made Sustainable

In Australia, summer is packed with events, celebrations, and opportunities to wear your favourite outfits. While it’s natural to want to look and feel your best, remember to care for your body along the way. A healthy routine paired with waist training can help you feel confident and strong, no matter the season. ❤️
